Course Description
This course specifies the outcome required to work safely at height. This course includes accessing, interpreting and applying technical and safety information for working at heights, assessing hazards and risks associated with working at heights and implementing control methods, selecting, wearing and caring for personal protective equipment, identifying required safety systems including fall protection and associated equipment, checking the correct fitting, adjusting and anchoring of fall protection and associated equipment and performing work safely at heights.
Course Content:
The course outlines the following:
Course Requirements: 100 points of identification, USI number, adequate literacy and numeracy, appropriate clothing hi-vis shirt and covered shoes or boots, food and drinks.
Mode of Delivery: Face to face training
Location: 26 Piper Drive Ballina or at your work site (for groups)
Course Outcome: On successful completion of the written and practical assessments of the course, participants will have the knowledge, skills and ability to be able to work safely at heights. A statement of attainment in work safely at heights RIIWHS204E will be issued and a photo card from North Coast Training Company.
Course Fees: Full course fee must be paid within 48 hours of enrolment.
Note: A refresher course is recommended every 3 years.

- Access and install equipment
- Perform work at heights
- Clean up work area
