Course Description
This course specifies the skills and knowledge to safely perform intermediate rigging work. Riggers use mechanical load shifting equipment and associated gear to move, place or secure loads, including plant, equipment or members of a building or structure. Riggers ensure the stability of those members and set up and dismantle cranes and hoists. This course includes rigging work involving hoists with jibs and self-climbing hoists, cranes, conveyors, dredges and excavators, tilt slabs, demolition of structures or plant, multiple lifts.
Course Content:
The course outlines the following:
Course Requirements: basic rigging ticket, 100 points of identification, adequate literacy & numeracy, USI number, MyService NSW account, (AEN) enrolment number, minimum age 18, appropriate clothing hi-vis shirt and covered shoes or boots, food and drinks.
Mode of Delivery: Face to face training
Location: 26 Piper Drive Ballina or at your work site (for groups)
Course Fees: A deposit of $1,000 is required within 7 days of enrolment, with the balance to be paid upon commencement.
Course Outcome: Upon successful completion participants will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment in Licence to perform rigging intermediate level CPCCLRG3002 from North Coast Training Company and an application for a SafeWork NSW High Risk Work Licence.
Important: Within 60 days of successfully completing the above course, the applicant MUST go to Service NSW to get a photo taken and complete the emailed NSA/AS form that is emailed 1 hour after completion of the assessment and pay the $90 licence fee.
Anyone assessed as ‘not yet competent’ can be reassessed on the relevant section after 48 hours from the original assessment date, and before 60 days have elapsed. (After 60 days a full reassessment will be needed)

- Undertake intermediate rigging activities
