Pre-requisites: 100 points of identification, adequate literacy & numeracy, USI number, minimum age 18, white card.

Course Description
This course specifies the outcome required to work safely at height. This course includes performing work safely at heights, identifying required safety systems including fall protection and associated equipment, checking that fitting, adjusting and anchoring of fall protection equipment is correct and correctly completing a rescue plan. This unit is appropriate for those working in operational roles where they are required to perform work at heights.

Course Content:
The course outlines the following:
  • Identify work requirements
  • Identify work procedures and instructions
  • Perform work at heights
  • Clean up work area

 Course Requirements: 100 points of identification, USI number, adequate literacy and numeracy, appropriate clothing hi-vis shirt and covered shoes or boots, food and drinks.

Mode of delivery: Face to face training

Location: 26 Piper Drive Ballina or at your work site (for groups)


Course Outcome: On successful completion of the written and practical assessments of the course, participants will have the knowledge, skills and ability to be able to work safely at heights.  A statement of attainment in work safely at heights RIIWHS204D will be issued and a photo card from North Coast Training Company.

Course Fees: Full course fee must be paid within 48 hours of enrolment.

Note: 
A refresher course is recommended every 3 years.
